Espen Arntzen graduated as a naprapath from the Scandinavian College of Manual Medicine in Stockholm in 1998. He holds a wide range of international certifications, including from Charles Poliquin, Paul Chek, Athletes Performance, ISSA, and the CHEK Institute, with specializations in strength training, hypertrophy, program design, nutrition, and NLP.
With over 26 years of experience as a personal trainer and 11 years in clinical practice as a manual therapist, Espen has worked extensively across the health and fitness industry. He has competed at a high level, winning two Norwegian national titles in Athletic Fitness in 2000 and 2002.
In 2004, he founded the AFPT, which has since educated more than 11,000 personal trainers across Scandinavia. Espen has served as a consultant and educator for national sports teams in swimming, equestrian, sprinting, football, and ice hockey, and has contributed to fitness publications and international conferences for decades.
He is a member of the Professional Standards Committee for EuropeActive, helping shape fitness education standards across Europe. Espen is also actively engaged in philanthropic work focused on childrenβs health, education, and well-being.
Greg Lehman is a practicing physiotherapist, researcher and educator in Toronto, Canada with over 20 years experience in the rehabilitation field. Greg has published more than 20 peer reviewed publications in the manual therapy and exercise science fields.
Stian Larsen, PhD is assisting head of education at AFPT and holds a PhD in exercise science, specializing in musculoskeletal modeling and biomechanics during the barbell back squat. He has authored more than 30 peer-reviewed scientific papers.
